Meizu 18 series officially arrives with Snapdragon 888 and excellent photography capabilities

Today, Meizu held a launch event to announce its new flagship phone lineup Meizu 18. As usual, both Meizu 18 and Meizu 18 Pro come with top-notch specifications such as a screen that supports a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a Snapdragon 888 processor, giant batteries, good fast charging capabilities, and telephoto sensors in the rear camera.

In addition, the company also confirmed that starting with the Meizu 18 series, there will be no ads built into the user interface, and there will be no pre-installed third-party applications.

The standard version comes with a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display that supports QHD+ quality with a resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a touch sensitivity of 240 Hz, a pixel density of 563 pixels per inch, a peak brightness of 1300 nits, support for HDR10+ We also have an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the screen.

Both phones come with a Snapdragon 888 processor with 8 or 12 GB LPPDR5 RAM, 128 or 256 GB UFS 3.1 internal storage.

The standard version comes with a 4000mAh battery that supports 36W fast charging, while the Pro version features a larger 4500mAh battery that supports 40W wired and wireless fast charging.

Meizu 18 has a 20MP front camera, while the 18 Pro has a 44MP front camera which is a Samsung GH1 sensor.

Both phones come with improved photographic features such as the ability to take a super clear selfie with artificial intelligence technology, backlighting for self-portraits HDR, ultra night photography mode, flash in the screen, as well as the ability to unlock the phone by facial recognition from the front camera.

The regular version comes with a triple rear camera consisting of a 64-megapixel Sony IMX682 primary sensor with OIS support, an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor that supports real optical zoom up to x3, and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with dual LED flash.

Both phones run on Android 11 operating system based on the Flyme 9 user interface. The Pro version also comes with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

The Meizu 18 series is now available for pre-orders in China through e-commerce websites. Both phones will be available for purchase starting March 8. There is no information on whether the company intends to launch both devices in the global markets or not.
