Realme did not wait long to join the brands that launched phones with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus processor, as it revealed a new phone in the Chinese market, which is Realme GT 2 Master Explorer.
This new wonderful phone comes to replace another phone that won the admiration of many users and achieved good sales, which is Realme GT Master Explorer, it is also the first phone from the Chinese brand to come with the most powerful chip at the moment.
The phone includes many powerful features, most notably a 120 Hz AMOLED screen, LPDDR5X RAM, and an improved internal cooling unit, and it also supports 100W fast charging, making it the first Realme phone to use this technology.
Phone design
There is no denying that all the Realme Master Edition phones feature an exceptional design. The Realme GT 2 Master Explorer features a leather back panel next to a metal frame surrounding the screen, and it is worth noting that the Chinese brand has collaborated with well-known designer Jae Jung to put his touch in the design of the phone.
The phone has an AMOLED display with a central hole to house the front camera and slim bezels. The screen is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass Victus. The dimensions of the device are 161.3 x 74.3 x 8.2 mm and it weighs about 199 grams.
Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Specs and Price
The phone features a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a Full HD + resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, support for HDR10+, and an optical fingerprint sensor.
The phone runs on the powerful Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip. The new Master Explorer phone uses 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM which consumes 20 percent less battery power than LPDDR5.
The device comes with a storage capacity of 256 GB UFS 3.1. The device is equipped with a liquid cooling system with a double steam chamber for heat dissipation. For an excellent gaming experience, the device is equipped with two buttons on both sides.
Moving on to photography, the new Realme phone comes with a 16MP front camera. The rear camera module contains a 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens with a 150-degree field of view, and a 2MP macro lens.
The phone supports 100W fast charging. According to the company, the GaN 100W charger included with the phone can charge the battery from 0 to 100% in just 25 minutes.
The rest of the phone specifications are the Android 12 operating system and Realme UI 3.0 interface. The device is equipped with good connectivity features like dual SIM support, 55G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, USB Type-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack.
The GT 2 Master Explorer comes in three configurations: 8 + 128 GB, 8 + 256 GB, and 12 + 256 GB. The prices for the three editions are $520, $565, and $595, respectively. Color options are brown, black and white. It will be available in China starting July 19th and it seems that there is no intention of launching it in global markets.
