Oppo officially unveils Reno 8 series with all-new processors and modest cameras

After waiting for weeks, OPPO officially unveiled its best mid-range phone lineup, the Oppo Reno 8. The previous series did not achieve great success and was disappointing for customers, and therefore OPPO had to move and take a positive step with regard to Reno phones.

The new Oppo Reno 8 series phones have one feature in common, which is performance. The three phones come with powerful processors that ensure excellent performance in all usage scenarios. The only fatal flaw in the three phones is that they all come with “normal” rear cameras and the user should not covet to get A groundbreaking photography experience.

Let's dive together into the specifications and prices of the Oppo Reno 8 series phones and all the details of the new competitors in the mid-range category.

Oppo Reno 8

Oppo Reno 8

The best phone in the series in my opinion in terms of value for money. Oppo Reno 8 comes with all the features that make it a unique phone for anyone who decides to own it. We have a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that supports a 90Hz refresh rate and is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 5.

Reno 8 works on a leading new processor in the world of smartphones, the Dimensity 1300, which can run all the demanding applications and games that require high graphics. Paired with 8 or 12 GB RAM + 128 or 256 GB internal storage, no other mid-range phone at the same price offers comparable performance.

The phone offers a modest imaging experience represented by a triple unit consisting of a 50-megapixel main sensor + a 2-megapixel macro sensor + a 2-megapixel depth lens. While we have a usual 32MP front camera in OPPO phones.

The rest of the specifications are a fingerprint sensor under the screen, a 4500 mAh battery, and 80W fast charging.

The price of the phone is $ 375 for the 8 + 128 GB version, while the 12 + 256 GB version is priced at $ 450.

Oppo Reno 8 Pro

Oppo Reno 8 Pro

Oppo Reno 8 Pro is the first phone officially to come with the newly revealed Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.

The rest of the specifications look very similar to the standard version, we have a larger 6.62-inch screen, the same battery, fast charging, the same front and rear camera, but with the difference of the second sensor where we have an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens.

The price of the Pro version is 450 dollars for the 8 + 128 GB version, 381 dollars for the 8 + 256 GB version, while the higher version 12 + 256 GB will be sold for 526 dollars.

Pro Plus Edition

Oppo Reno 8 Pro Plus

Oppo Reno 8 Pro Plus is the best phone in the series which comes very close to the flagship phones. This phone shares many specifications with the Pro version such as the battery, fast charging, and the camera.

The phone works on a MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max processor, which is based on 8 or 12 GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage, and comes with a relatively larger 6.7-inch AMOLED screen that supports a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

The price of the phone is 556 and $ 600 for the 8 + 256 GB, 12 + 256 GB versions, respectively.

It is expected that the new Oppo Reno 8 phones will be launched from June 1 in the Chinese markets, and there is no specific date for the launch of the new lineup in the global markets.
