Yesterday, OnePlus revealed the main features of the screen of its upcoming phone, which is OnePlus Ace 2. Today, the company confirmed the battery size and charging capabilities of the device. It is worth noting that it will be the first phone to come with a SuperVOOC S power management chip.
OnePlus Ace 2 will come backed by a 5,000mAh battery with excellent support for fast charging of up to 100W. According to the Chinese brand, OnePlus Ace 2 will take about 10 minutes to charge from 0 to 50%. The SuperVOOC S power management chip on the other hand will help improve the battery life of the device.
Other reports revealed that the OnePlus Ace 2 will come with an AMOLED screen with curved edges and a central punch-hole housing the front camera. This panel will come in at 6.74 inches in size and will support a 120Hz refresh rate and up to a maximum peak brightness of 1450 nits per inch. In terms of security features, the upcoming phone will come with a fingerprint scanner under the screen.
The phone will run on the Android 13 operating system, which will be based on the ColorOS 13 user interface. There will be a 16-megapixel front camera, while the rear camera will consist of three sensors with a resolution: 50 + 8 + 2 megapixels, respectively.
As for the internal hardware, the phone will be based on the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. This powerful processor will be paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 3.1 internal storage. Some reports claimed that the device will offer up to 18GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal space.
The phone is scheduled to be officially unveiled in China on February 7, and we do not know any official news about the possibility of launching the phone in global markets or not.
