Huawei announces Huawei Mate 40E at $ 700

Huawei launched another smartphone in China in its flagship Mate series which isHuawei Mate 40E. The phone comes with distinctive specifications, most of which are similar to the standard version in the Mate series.

Initially, the Mate 40 series was revealed in October last year with three devices: Huawei Mate 40 andMate 40 Pro and the Mate 40 Pro Plus. The newly announced Mate 40E version rolled out recently, as the phone was spotted listing on Tmall.

The new phone runs on Huawei's Kirin 990E processor, features a 6.5-inch OLED screen, and will be available for pre-orders in China starting today. Let's check out the specifications, price and features of the new Huawei Mate phone:

Huawei Mate 40E specifications

The phone comes with a 6.5-inch OLED display that supports Full HD+ quality with a 90Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sensitivity.

The new device is powered by the Kirin 990E Octa-core processor, which is a powerful processor and will provide an uncompromising performance experience. Regarding the internal configuration, we have 8 GB of RAM along with 128 or 256 GB of internal storage.

With regard to the software, the phone works on the Android 10 operating system unfortunately and not the latest version, as we have the EMUI 11 user interface, and there are certainly no Google services.

The phone comes with a triple rear camera consisting of a 64-megapixel primary sensor along with an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor that supports real optical zoom up to x3 and we finally have a 16-megapixel ultra-wide lens, there is a single 13-megapixel front camera. Both front and rear cameras support 4K video shooting.

In terms of connectivity options and other specifications, the Mate 40E offers support for Dual SIM, 5G networks, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and a USB-C port. The phone also works on a 4200 mAh battery that supports 40W wired and wireless fast charging.

The phone was launched in three color options: black, white and silver. The phone will be officially launched in the Chinese market starting from March 18. Huawei has not confirmed any details regarding the global availability of the phone.
