The Huawei Enjoy 70 was launched in December 2023 and falls in the mid-range category. In terms of design, the device looks great and has an ergonomic design that translates into being able to hold it for a long time without feeling any fatigue. Also, the phone comes in many color options in addition to supporting high internal storage space. Yes, the device is a little disappointing in some aspects, most notably the performance, but that doesn't mean the smartphone isn't a good option in that price segment. Let's not forget that the phone also comes with a giant battery, excellent pricing, and many other positive points.
In this article, let us learn about the specifications and price of the Huawei Enjoy 70 and all its features, in addition to a comprehensive user guide for everything related to the entire phone, in addition to a comprehensive review in which we take a look at all aspects of the phone and explore together whether it is a suitable option for purchase or not. It is worth noting that we tried the phone for a few days and got to know almost everything about it.
The Huawei Enjoy 70 is a beautiful phone, there's no doubt about that. Not everyone has the budget for flagship phones or popular mid-range devices, but that doesn't mean you have to compromise on design. The device comes with a beautiful and simple appearance.
Most smartphones in this price category have a very boring and monotonous design, but that is not the case with the Huawei Enjoy 70. The phone will provide you with a solid grip and will not slip out of your hands easily.
The phone comes in three colors: white, black and green. Black in particular looks gorgeous and luxurious. In terms of the display, we have a 6.75-inch TFT LCD display with support for a default refresh rate of 60Hz. The smartphone has good color accuracy, and the contents look great on the screen.
However, there is only support for HD+ resolution on the screen which is quite disappointing in this price segment. Besides this, it will also lack better brightness under sunlight. Apart from this, the device weighs 207 grams and hence may seem a bit heavy to some users.
As much as we praised the phone's design and display, we wish we could say something about the internals as well. Unfortunately, Huawei let us down in a terrible way regarding the phone's internal hardware. We have a chip that we have been seeing for many years, which is the Kirin 710A, which we are almost tired of. It has become very weak in the current period and will not meet the requirements of the modern user who wants to run games and applications and browse social media platforms at the same time.
Fortunately, we have a fairly decent internal configuration consisting of 8 GB of RAM, along with 128 or 256 GB of internal storage which can be extended via an external memory card. But there is no 5G support in this smartphone, as the miserable chipset unfortunately does not have a 5G modem.
The Huawei Enjoy 70 smartphone has a dual rear camera system with a 50-megapixel main sensor and a secondary camera with a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The main rear camera takes good photos during the day with a wide dynamic range, decent colors and fine details. Apart from this, the night shots are very poor and there is nothing more to talk about.
The 8-megapixel front camera can take good selfies that look natural with well-saturated colors. However, the same cannot be said during the night. Photos taken during the night contain a lot of noise and are not suitable for posting on social media platforms.
Regarding video recording, the phone is able to shoot video at a resolution of up to 1080p at 30 frames per second from the rear and front cameras. Apart from this, there is no support for gyro-EIS.
The Huawei Enjoy 70 smartphone has a massive 6,000 mAh lithium polymer battery that can easily last for 2-3 days even with moderate usage, which is very impressive, especially when compared to other smartphones in the same price category.
The smartphone supports 22.5W fast wired charging and can fully replenish the battery in about 90 minutes. This may not seem very fast given the large battery size, but it is fast enough and better than a lot of other competing phones. The phone does not suffer from overheating issues during normal use. However, while gaming, the phone can get a little warm.
Apart from that, the phone also has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a USB Type-C port for charging.
The price of Huawei Enjoy 70 is $170 for the 8 + 128 GB version, while the company decided to price the top version 8 + 256 GB for $195.
The phone was unveiled on December 5, 2023 and was officially launched in the Chinese local market on December 13 of the same year. The phone may reach some Asian markets such as India and Thailand, but it will not expand to other international markets, unfortunately, and you can get to know the phone more closely here.
The Huawei Enjoy 70 is not a smartphone for gamers. It's also not a smartphone for enthusiasts who expect a device that focuses on the photography experience. In terms of appearance, the device is good for general use. However, the user experience would have been much better if some things had been taken care of, most notably performance, of course.
Moreover, the device also looks disappointing in terms of camera, performance as well as the display. Also, the rear and front camera sensors are quite old and hence the smartphone does not seem to be a good choice if we ignore the battery and fast charging support.
Although the device supports high internal storage and a microSD card slot, there are better options available in the market such as Oppo A1x which comes with 5G support in the same price segment. However, the final decision is definitely up to you and your requirements.
