After several months of leaks and rumours, the search engine giant Google has now finally unveiled its latest and most innovative foldable smartphone yet. Google Pixel Fold. It is worth noting that this is the first time that the company will officially unveil a foldable smartphone.
The company officially revealed the Google Pixel Fold smartphone in a teaser video posted on YouTube and Twitter, where a sneak peek at the phone was shown before revealing more details next week during the Google I / O conference.
The video shared by the tech giant reveals that the brand's first foldable smartphone has a vertical hinge that opens the device in a tablet-like manner, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Fold lineup.
When the phone is closed, users can use a smaller external touchscreen on one side. In keeping with the recent Pixel line of smartphones, there's a camera strip on the back, but it's not as prominent as it is on other models.
According to reports, the Google Pixel Fold will come with a 7.6-inch external screen and a 5.8-inch internal screen. In terms of hardware, the device is powered by the Google Tensor G2 processor and is said to have the most durable hinge on any foldable phone.
More details about the smartphone will be revealed at the Google I/O developer conference on May 10. As for pricing, the phone is likely to be priced at $1,800 and is expected to go on sale in the coming weeks.
