New Double Tap feature

Apple made the new Double Tap gesture the highlight of the Apple Watch announcement, and it's actually a really cool feature that Apple managed to keep a secret until the official launch.

It uses faster processing thanks to the new S9 chip, which is why, Apple says, it won't be coming to older models, but will only work on the Series 9.

What this feature does is rely on the gyroscope sensor and accelerometer to detect a double tap of your index finger and thumb together. It takes a little getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it should work well all the time.

If you're on the home screen, you'll go through the widgets on your watch face, but you can also use them when you're actually inside the app as they act as a tap on the home button, so if you get an incoming call, you can double-tap to answer or end the call, Or if you're using the watch as a remote viewfinder for your camera, you can double-tap to take a photo or video.
