Is the Apple iPhone 13 launch postponed?

The continued shortage of processor supplies may lead to a decrease in smartphone shipments and also delay the production process for the launch of major smartphones in 2021, according to Foxconn, not any smartphones, but the most awaited phone in the current year, which is Apple iPhone 13.

Essentially, this effect may delay many smartphones made by Foxconn for major smartphone manufacturers including Apple. As a result, one of the major smartphones of 2021 that may be affected is iPhone 13 Pro Along with the rest of the series phones.

Moreover, the lack of chips may also mean that global shipments of smartphones may decline, and the Foxconn director states that this decline could be close to 10 percent compared to last year.

The responsible source also added that the company is still not sure how long this crisis may last, before adding that the impact may last until the second quarter of 2022.

Will the Apple iPhone 13 arrive on time?

The Apple iPhone 13 is one of the biggest launches of 2021, and if the usual schedule prevails, it's possible that Apple will hold a launch event for the iPhone 2021 sometime in early September.

In 2020, the closure of global smartphone manufacturing and assembly centers has led to reports that the iPhone 12 series may also be delayed due to the ongoing effects of the coronavirus pandemic.

However, Apple succeeded in releasing 2020 iPhones on the usual schedule last year. This time around, though, it remains to be seen whether or not the chipset shortage may lead to a delay in Apple's timeline.

We have nearly 6 months to know whether we will see the next generation of iPhone phones on schedule or there will be any delays, but we expect that Apple will fulfill its commitment to its passionate users, as we have always entrusted it with success in dealing with the crises it is going through.
