After years of speculation, the Apple AirPods 3 have finally been announced, with a host of new upgrades in order to help vie for the title of the best wireless earbuds right now.
The second generation of those wireless headphones was revealed in 2019, and now the AirPods 3 were officially announced at Apple Unleashed event, which witnessed impressive product launches, after an event was held last month to reveal the new generation of Apple's flagship iPhone 13 .
New features include support for Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking (such as AirPods Pro and AirPods Max), adaptive EQ, and longer battery life.
These wireless headphones come at a price of 179 dollars, which is close to 3 thousand Egyptian pounds, and they will be available starting next week.
AirPods 3 Specs
While Apple hasn't released much information about the design of the new AirPods 3, it appears that the company has drawn most of the design from the AirPods Pro.
The long, pointed tips that made AirPods 2019 so recognizable have been replaced by shorter tips that feature touch sensors just like those on AirPods Pro, which let you control music playback with the push of a button. You can also press that terminal in order to control calls.
We would have liked to see those smaller edges, and Apple also reported that this look increases the aesthetics of the design.
The covers for AirPods 3 have also changed, becoming more streamlined than their predecessors. Apple says the surround design is angled just right in order to deliver sound directly to the user's ear.

Unlike AirPods Pro, there are no interchangeable ear tips, so you may find that the Pro version still offers better sound isolation which means a more powerful audio experience, as well as reduced sound leakage.
Another new feature of the 3rd generation AirPods is IPX4 sweat and water resistance, so the user can use it while working out or running without worrying about any sweat or rain.
AirPods 3 come with a huge improvement in battery life. While AirPods 2019 offered up to 24 hours of battery life in total (about 4 hours from the earbuds themselves and another 20 hours from the charging case), the new AirPods 3 offer a maximum battery life of 30 hours.
Apple says you get up to six hours of listening time or up to four hours of talk time from the earphones themselves, with an additional four hours from the charging case.
If you're in a hurry, a quick five-minute charge gives you about an hour of playback. As with AirPods Pro, AirPods 3 come with a wireless charging case, and are compatible with Apple's MagSafe charging system.
AirPods 3 price
The AirPods 3 2021 are priced at just $179, making them more expensive than the second-generation AirPods, which were initially priced at $159. However, Apple has now announced that the AirPods 2 have a price cut and are now on sale for $129.
The wireless headset is available for pre-order now and will officially go on sale on October 26 in all stores.
