Samsung Galaxy S22 series model numbers revealed

In January, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, andGalaxy S21 Ultra. The S22 series is expected to be revealed early next year as well. According to the latest leaks, the model numbers of the three awaited phones have been revealed.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy flagships will arrive with SM-S901x, SM-906x and SM-S908x model numbers, according to recent leaks.

It is worth noting that the series of Galaxy S21 It was revealed with the SM-G991x, SM-G996x and SM-G998x model numbers. Samsung has always been using the SM-G900x pattern for its S series of flagship phones since the Galaxy S5 that was unveiled in 2014.

But Samsung apparently decided to use the S instead of the G in the model numbers of the S22 series phones.

A report released last month revealed that the standard version of the upcoming series may come with a screen size of 6.06 or 6.1 inches while the Plus version will come with a screen size of 6.55 or 6.66 while the S22 Ultra will come with a large screen of 6.81 inches.

Unfortunately, the Standard and Plus version is expected to come with a plastic back, which is definitely a step back, while the distinction will be limited to the Ultra version that will come with a glass back.

All series phones will certainly arrive with improved internal cooling in order to reduce phone overheating, while the most notable upgrade will be with regard to charging.

The upcoming phones are expected to support 65W fast charging, which is definitely a big upgrade compared to the current 25W.

Samsung may team up with Olympus Opticals in order to launch the S22 Ultra with a 200MP penta-camera rear camera.

The standard version will come with a triple rear camera consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 12-megapixel telephoto sensor that supports x3 optical zoom, and you can read more details about the S22 cameras here.

There is currently news that Samsung is in the process of collaborating with AMD to develop a new version of the Exynos processor and exclusively for the first time in the S22 series.

This is certainly good news and may relieve the bitterness of users who dream of buying the Snap Dragon version in all markets and not only in the United States, China and Korea.
