Poco, a sub-brand of Xiaomi, announced two new phones today: X5 and X5 Pro. Both phones come with very excellent specifications and prices are certainly cheaper than all competing phones that offer the same specifications and features, including AMOLED screens, mid-power Qualcomm processors, large batteries, and more.
Poco succeeded in designing the X5 Pro 5G phone and making it an excellent device that offers a pioneering experience thanks to its many specifications and features, with a price starting from only $ 300 and with specifications such as these, this phone is among the best ever in the current year and the only phone that offers the best value for money during January and February so far.
Both models also have a similar 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. However, the screen on the Pro model is protected by Gorilla Glass 5, while the standard version has Gorilla Glass 3.
What's most impressive about the Pro version is that the main camera comes in at 108MP, which isn't usually found in many of the best budget Android phones. This type of camera has previously been seen on the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra phones S22 UltraIn addition to phones in the middle category, such as Xiaomi 11T Pro and Realme 10 Pro Plus.
Meanwhile, the standard model has a 48MP main camera on the back. The rest of the rear lenses, such as the 8MP ultra-wide lens and 2MP macro sensor, are the same for both models. The Pro model has a 16MP selfie camera on the front, while the regular X5 only has a 13MP camera.
In terms of hardware, the X5 Pro comes with the Snapdragon 778G chipset, which was recently succeeded by Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 782G processor. On the other hand, the regular version is powered by the Snapdragon 695 chip. Both phones pack a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 67W fast charging for the Pro model and 33W for the regular version.
Poco claims that the Pro model's battery can be charged up to 30% in just 7 minutes, while the regular X5 can be fully charged in about 68 minutes.
Both devices also share some common specs, including a 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, and an IR blaster. However, there are some notable differences between the two phones, most notably the version of the MIUI user interface. The regular model runs on MIUI 13, while the Pro model comes with MIUI 14, both of which are based on the Android 12 operating system, and this is perhaps the biggest flaw in the phone released in 2023, in which most smartphones come with Android 13.
The standard version comes at a price of $ 250 for the 6 + 128 GB version, while the price of the higher version 8 + 256 GB is $ 300. Poco X5 Pro pricing is $300 for the 6 + 128GB version and $350 for the 8 + 256GB version.
The two phones will be available starting tomorrow, February 7, and we do not know the official date for launching the phones in the global markets, but the company may launch them globally at the beginning of the spring season.
