Samsung Galaxy S20 FE succeeded in being the first flagship phone from Samsung at a good price and won everyone's approval. His successor has been in development for over six months.
Now, despite numerous rumors about Samsung ditching the Fan Edition, the South Korean company has finally announced Samsung Galaxy S21 FE at CES 2022.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE Specs
There are no new surprises because we already knew the most prominent specifications and features of the phone due to leaks over the past months. The Fan Edition derives its design from Galaxy S21.
Despite Samsung's painstaking efforts to offer flagship phones at a competitive price over the past year, the Standard Edition did not succeed in offering users a bargain compared to the Plus and Ultra versions. However, the Galaxy S21 FE is likely to address this issue as it comes at a very affordable price.
Other than its price, one thing that will make the Galaxy S21 FE a big draw for users is the presence of the Snapdragon 888 chipset, which is still going strong despite Qualcomm launching its successor last month.
This mighty processor works in conjunction with 6 or 8 GB RAM and 128 or 256 GB internal storage. The phone comes with support for fifth generation networks as well.
Although it has the same thickness as the Galaxy S21, the Galaxy S21 FE has slightly larger dimensions and a larger screen. The phone comes with a 6.4-inch Full HD+ dynamic AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The phone also comes with an under-display fingerprint sensor - unlike the much faster ultrasonic sensor on the Galaxy S21 series.
The phone works on a 4500 mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging and 15W wireless charging. It also supports Wireless PowerShare, which allows charging other accessories such as wireless headphones and smartwatch as soon as they are placed on the phone.
When it comes to cameras, the Galaxy S21 FE shares a lot with the Galaxy S21. The Fan Edition comes with a 12MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS).
We also have a 12MP ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture. The third and final camera is an 8MP telephoto sensor that offers true 3X optical zoom and up to 30X digital zoom. There is also a front camera with a resolution of 32 megapixels.
The phone works on the One UI 4 user interface based on the Android 12 operating system, and the rest of the specifications are stereo speakers and IP68 protection against water and dust. The phone comes at a price of less than $ 850 and pricing varies between Europe, the United States and the Middle East, and when it is officially launched in all different markets, we will update that article with the exact prices.
