Red Magic has just announced its new flagship gaming lineup in China today: Red Magic 7S – Red Magic 7S Pro.
Both phones come with powerful features, modern technologies, and the most prominent specifications in the world of Android phones. Highlights of the two phones include a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip, a 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 165Hz, a built-in fan, LED lights, an under-display camera, and more. Design
Both phones come with designs similar to Red Magic 7 and 7 Pro which were launched earlier this year. However, both phones feature a front camera under the screen and a stylish front end.
The back of smartphones has the same semi-transparent look that we are used to on Red Magic phones but with a few modifications. The Red Magic 7S has a tape-like camera module with linear alignment of the cameras. While the Pro model has a rectangular camera module with a lens arranged in a circular shape. Next to the rear camera module, you will find the cooling fan which comes with RGB lights.
Smartphones have two pressure-sensitive buttons along with the volume button and the power button on the right side. While on the left, there is a red switch to activate the liquid cooling mode.
Red Magic 7S Specs
The Red Magic 7S comes with a 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. Interestingly, it supports a refresh rate of 165 Hz which is higher than that of the Pro model. The phone is powered by the latest and most powerful chipset at the moment which is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, paired with 8, 12 or 16 GB RAM and 128, 256 or 512 GB internal storage.
To keep the phone cool during heavy games, the company has equipped the smartphone with ICE 9.0 liquid cooling technology. Moreover, the device also has a built-in fan that can circulate air at a speed of up to 20 thousand revolutions per minute.
It's not a camera-focused phone but it still has some decent specs in that regard. The Red Magic 7S is equipped with a triple rear camera consisting of a 64MP primary camera accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro lens with LED flash.
On the front, the phone comes with an 8-megapixel front camera under the screen for taking selfies and making video calls. The phone works on a 4500 mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. Speaking of the software, Red Magic 7S runs on the interface of Red Magic 5.0 based on Android 12 operating system.
Red Magic 7S Pro Specs
Red Magic 7S Pro is the best phone and it has similar features to the regular version. The phone has the same screen but with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The 7S Pro is also powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, but it also has the company's proprietary Red Core 1 chip dedicated to gaming to improve device performance. The smartphone comes with an advanced cooling system called Ice 10.0.
Here we have the same rear camera as the standard version, but the front camera comes with 16 megapixels. The phone draws power from a 5000 mAh battery that supports 135W fast charging, and we also have the Android 12 operating system and the Red Magic 5.0 interface.
Prices and availability in the markets
Red Magic 7 launched with a starting price of $600 for the lower version of 8 + 128 GB. While the 12 + 256 GB version will be priced at $ 715. The 12 + 256 GB transparent model is priced at $730 and the 16 + 512 GB version will be on sale for $819.
Red Magic 7S Pro will be available at $775 for the 12 + 256 GB version. The 16 + 512 GB version comes for $894. Moreover, the higher version 18 + 1 TB will be launched later for $1,115.
