Although Realme is not among the largest smartphone companies at the moment, if it continues to launch phones like the Realme 8 Pro, we can only expect that it will reach the top in a few years, the new 8 Pro phone comes with the best possible specifications with a price Reasonable and suitable for everyone.
It was launched along with Realme 8 In early 2021, which is the successor to the Realme 7 series that was revealed last year, Realme Pro is likely to be the most value for money phone from the Chinese brand in 2021.
However, you will not feel as if the phone comes at its real price, and if it is launched at a higher price, no one will complain as it has an ultra-high resolution main camera, incredibly fast charging, and a distinctive screen as well.
Our favorite aspect of the phone is its design - most budget phones are relatively thick, hard to hold in one hand, and built from cheap-to-touch plastic, so the Realme 8 Pro is slim, portable, and nice looking.
This is also probably one of the best mid-range camera phones on the market, thanks in large part to the 108MP main camera. which takes high-resolution photos.
Also here is 50W fast charging, which can charge half the battery in less than half an hour, and it's also much faster than most other phones in the same price category. The battery will also last a full day without any issues.
Realme 8 Pro has been launched in many regions around the world, including India, but not Egypt, Saudi Arabia or Iraq.
The cost of the phone is $248 for the 6 + 128 GB version, and $275 for the 8 + 128 GB version.
We are still waiting for the phone to be launched further next month because it will be an ideal choice for everyone who wants to own a premium smartphone without paying a lot of money.
While it's definitely not a compact phone, the Realme 8 Pro looks pretty small compared to its competitors, which is great for people who don't want a giant smartphone. It's relatively thin and light, and has a smaller body than we're used to.
The design is definitely plastic, but with a somewhat better material than traditional plastic. The back of the phone contains the phrase “Dare to Leap” which is the well-known Realme logo but in fairly large letters, which some may find annoyingly prominent, while others may not mind.
The phone has a USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack, and the volume button and power button are both located on the right edge of the phone. Thanks to its size and button locations, Realme 8 Pro can easily be used with one hand.
The screen size of the phone is 6.4 inches, which makes it significantly smaller than many other phones of similar price, but it does not come complete due to the hole punch that houses the front camera in the top left.
The screen has a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, which is very suitable for any smartphone. It's the same private resolution as most games, apps, or streaming services you'll use, although it's lower than most flagships.
The refresh rate is 60 Hz, which is generally typical for all phones in that price category, although some phones come with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. If your priority is to buy a phone with a high refresh rate, you should go for other options.
Surprisingly for a phone at this price, there is a fingerprint sensor under the screen, which we found to work fine and the phone barely failed to recognize the user's thumb on the first try.
Realme 8 Pro has a 108MP main camera, and it is not the first phone in this price category to have such a high-resolution main camera, as it preceded it Redmi Note 10 Pro. This camera is joined by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a depth sensor, and a 2MP macro camera with a 20MP front camera.
"High resolution" doesn't always mean "take beautiful pictures" when it comes to smartphone cameras, but we liked the photo clips on the 8 Pro.
In good lighting conditions, images looked excellent, with rich detail and a reasonable contrast ratio.
Thanks to the high resolution, we can easily download, edit and crop photos from the phone to any computer, without ending up with a low-resolution photo or a blurry photo.
However, not everyone will be interested in shooting 108MP photos because it takes up a lot of storage space but having a great camera in this price bracket is definitely a great thing.
The 2MP auxiliary cameras rarely add anything to smartphones, and that is the case here as well. The macro shots were so blurry that they were practically unusable.
We have to commend the front camera, as the selfies looked great, were full of color and saturated with detail.
The video recording quality here is up to 4K at 30 fps or 1080p at 60 fps.
The phone runs on a mid-range Snapdragon 720G processor paired with 6 or 8 GB of RAM, but we didn't find the performance slow at all.
We had no issues with the phone in games, although we chose medium graphical settings in games, it was always fast while gaming and rarely had any lag
It's the same story when in normal use of the phone, whether it's to open and close apps or browse social media as we've never been disappointed either. Unless you're transitioning to the Realme 8 Pro from a flagship phone, you'll find it pretty cool.
The phone comes with a 4,500mAh battery, and we found that the phone easily kept going all day, even if we were using the camera or playing a lot of games. It seems unlikely that the phone will survive a second day, unless your use is very limited.
Fast charging here is 50W, and it took us less than an hour to fully charge the phone. There's no wireless charging support here, but that's to be expected for a phone at this price.
Realme is a leader in offering premium fast charging to mid-range phones, so 50W isn't a big surprise, although it's a feature that Realme should praise. However, Realme 7 Pro It was launched with 65W fast charging.
