Oppo reveals the Find N foldable design and sets the launch date

Oppo is set to unveil its first-ever foldable phone, which is Oppo Find N on the 15th of this month, in a dedicated event that the company will hold under the name INNO Day 2021.

The company published an official tweet on Twitter that reveals a lot about the design of the Find N and a video on YouTube that also gives us a glimpse of the phone. It is worth noting that there has been a structural change in the management of the Chinese brand represented in Pete Lau assuming the position of head of the product department.

Oppo Find N is the product of four full years of research and development and many prototypes so we can expect to see something different from what all the other foldable phones currently on the market offer and most notably Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3.

According to Lau, OPPO's smartphone industry has reached a level we never dreamed of which allowed us to see modern features such as high refresh rates of screens, vastly improved photography experience, fast charging and so on. Hence, the company has now decided to enter the world of foldable phones.

Oppo started work on the first Find N prototype three years ago. And while top competing brands like Samsung, Huawei and Xiaomi have already revealed their foldable smartphones, Oppo hasn't released one yet.

He further emphasized that Find N will be a beautiful and easy-to-use phone. OPPO has made efforts to solve the most prominent issues facing this type of device such as screen wrinkle and durability issues which we have all seen on other foldable phones.

Oppo Find N Specifications

Several reports revealed that Find N will come with an 8-inch LTPO OLED internal screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 60Hz external display with a hole to house the 32MP front camera.

We have a triple rear camera consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor accompanied by another 16MP Sony IMX481 sensor and finally we have a 13MP Samsung S5K3M5 lens.

The phone will work on a 4500 mAh battery and will support 65W fast charging, and with regard to the internal hardware, we will have a Snapdragon 888 processor accompanied by a 12 GB RAM and 512 GB internal storage space. Android 12 operating system based on the ColorOS 12 user interface.
