The Chinese brand unveiled a new phone today, which is Nubia Z40S Pro, this phone comes with the latest and most powerful chip in the Android world at the moment, which is the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1.
This new phone comes as an upgraded version of ZTE Nubia Z40 Pro which was unveiled at the end of February this year, and it works on the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen chip.
at a starting price of only $ 500, this is the cheapest phone in the world that comes powered by the mighty Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor, as it was competing for that title by another phone, which is Realme GT 2 Master Explorer but it comes at $520.
ZTE Nubia Z40S Pro Specs
The Nubia Z40S Pro comes with a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, 144Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sensitivity, 1,000 nits peak brightness, and an under-display fingerprint scanner.
The new phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, based on up to 18GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB UFS 3.1 internal storage.
The phone comes with a triple rear camera that consists of a 64-megapixel Sony IMX787 main sensor paired with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and finally we have an 8-megapixel Telephoto camera that supports real optical zoom up to x5 and supports OIS.
ZTE has developed a new technology called NEOVision which contributes to capture improved photos with remarkable pictures. The rest of the camera specifications are 8K video capture support and a 16MP front camera.
The Nubia Z40S Pro comes in two versions that contain different batteries. The version that contains a 5000 mAh battery supports 80W fast charging. The other version has a 4600 mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging.
The rest of the phone specifications are Android 12 operating system, MyOS 12 user interface, dual SIM support, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GPS and USB-C port.

The Nubia Z40S Pro (80W version) comes in four versions: 8 + 128 GB, 8 + 256 GB, 12 + 256 GB, and 12 + 512 GB. These models are priced at $500, $548, $592, and $666, respectively.
On the other side we have two versions of the 120W version, the first is 12 + 512 GB and the highest is 18 + 1 TB. Both versions are priced at $637 and $992. The Z40S Pro comes in green and black.
Sales will start in China on July 26, and we don't know if the company intends to launch the device in global markets or not.
