As most users know, Apple usually unveils its latest iPhone models in September, usually in the first or second week of the month. It's hard to believe, but with time going so fast, we're about eight to nine weeks away from the unveiling of iPhone 14 and the rest of the series phones.
But is there a more specific date for that anticipated event? A leaker on Twitter says that the best Apple phones in 2022 will be announced on September 13th, corresponding to Tuesday.
iPhone 14 lineup may arrive before mid-September
It seems that this new news corresponds to the policy that Apple has followed in recent years, which is to hold conferences to reveal new Apple phones on the first or second Tuesday of September, and therefore there is a possibility to hold the event on September 6.
But there is an important occasion in the United States before the first Tuesday of September, which is Labor Day, which is celebrated in all states, and therefore September 13th may be the closest date to hold the iPhone 14 series phones unveiling event.
Pre-orders will likely be received on the Friday after the event or on September 16th with a possible launch date for the phones on September 23rd.
It seems that all the news is that the 5.4-inch Mini launched in the past two years will be replaced by a new 6.7-inch screen phone: iPhone 14 Max.
The rest of the series phones will be the iPhone 14 (6.1 inches),iPhone 14 Pro (6.1 inches) andiPhone 14 Pro Max (6.7 inches).
All these dates are guesses, of course. In this current era, we are always faced with the possibility of delays when it comes to the supply chain. Manufacturers are at the mercy of suppliers of components and other elements of the system that may be affected by various external factors such as strikes due to untimely wages.
The gap widens between the regular and Pro models
This year, Apple is distinguishing between the regular and the Pro models more than it has ever done before. This could mean a wider price gap in return. First, you will be able to tell the difference between the cheaper and higher priced models at a glance. Previously, counting the number of cameras on the back of the iPhone was the best guide. If you see two rear cameras, you are looking at a normal version. If they're three, you're staring at the Pro model where the third lens is a telephoto sensor.
This trick requires you to stare at the back of the phone. But this year, you can distinguish between different phones by looking at the notch on the front of the phone. Phones that will have an old and traditional notch are regular versions. Those with one in the new "i" shape are the more pricier Pro versions of the iPhone 14. One major difference you can't see is bound to irritate enthusiasts who can't afford one of the Pro models.
Starting with the iPhone 14 series and for all future lineups, the cheapest iPhone models will not receive the latest generation Apple A Bionic chip. This was something iPhone buyers used to be able to differentiate between different phones no matter what new phone they bought and how much money they spent.
This year, those who buy the iPhone 14 and the Max version will not get the new A16 Bionic chip inside their phones; Instead, their phones will be powered by the old A15 Bionic from last year.
