Among all the vivo phones, the S series is the most distinctive and familiar one. The reason why these devices are distinguished is that they include what the user wants in any phone he buys, which makes the phones of this series unique among all other vivo phones and even in the entire world of smartphones and this has not changed from the vivo S10 Pro.
The phone is great and offers many advantages to the user. We have an AMOLED screen and a powerful processor capable of providing the best possible use experience, along with a multi-tasking rear camera unit and an excellent front camera among the best in the price range, as well as an acceptable battery and good fast charging. A special design that no other brand can compete with.
In the next lines, we will talk about the specifications and price of the vivo S10 Pro and all the other details that the user has the right to know, besides the advantages and disadvantages of the vivo phone.
The phone was officially revealed in China on July 15, 2021 and was launched on the market just a week after that date. The price of the vivo S10 Pro is 450 euros, equivalent to 526 US dollars, 1973 Saudi riyals, 8260 Egyptian pounds.
Unfortunately, the phone is so far only available exclusively in the Chinese markets, and we believe that Vivo will not officially launch the phone in global markets during the coming period, which is the same as what happened with the vivo S9, as it was limited to China and some other Asian markets.
Vivo focuses on launching its phones in the middle class, such as vivo V21 in the developing markets of the smartphone world such as Egypt, Pakistan, Nigeria and Spain in order to try to gain popularity in this elusive price segment, while it seems that breaking into the upper mid-range is the next step for the BBK sub-brand.
The company also revealed the standard version, which is vivo S10 which is not at all different from the Pro version except that it comes with a primary camera with a resolution of 64 megapixels, while the rest of the specifications do not differ at all. Surprisingly, this phone was priced at $433 for the basic version.
In terms of design, the Vivo phone comes with an innovative and elegant design at the same time, in addition to a great aesthetic touch that the phone comes with a glossy frosted back that gives a good feel when you hold the phone in the hand.
However, the build quality itself is not the best because the materials look rather poor. The company did not disclose the materials used in the design, and there is no protective layer on the screen.
It's definitely not a flagship phone that's over $1000, but screen protection is a must. Another fatal flaw in the design is that the phone is not water and dust resistant. But what should be commended for the design as well is that it is thin and light and can be used with one hand comfortably.
In addition, you can buy this phone in four great colors: black, blue, white and a beautiful yellow that is suitable for lovers of summer and bright colors.
The first thing that the user will notice on the phone screen are the two holes in the middle of the screen at the top that house the front camera inside of them, which detracts from the full screen experience for sure, which is certainly one of the defects of this phone, but in the end Vivo aims to develop the experience of taking selfies and making video calls.
Regarding the screen specifications, we have a 6.44-inch AMOLED panel with Full HD + quality, and it supports a refresh rate of 90 Hz as well and comes surrounded by thin edges. The user will definitely enjoy browsing the web, social media as well as gaming because of the smooth refresh rate along with the HDR10+ support that overshadows the contrast ratio.
It is worth noting that we have exactly the same screen as the previous generation and there are no differences at all, which we did not understand from Vivo.
Fortunately the vivo S10 Pro comes with a powerful internal configuration, we have a good, powerful MediaTek Dimensity 1100 5G processor that is not less than its leading counterparts with a small, unnoticeable performance difference.
The user will not face any problem in the usual daily tasks nor in installing any heavy application or game that requires high graphics as well, the usage experience here is quite good.
The phone comes in only one version consisting of a RAM capacity of 12 GB, along with an internal storage space of 256 GB, fast UFS 3.1.
The internal storage space is not expandable so the user has to adapt to that capacity. Also we have the same internal setup as the previous generation and it never got any upgrade.
An enjoyable use experience can only be completed with the camera, we have a square-shaped rear camera module that consists of a main camera that is a 108MP wide lens just like the Xiaomi Redmi K40 Pro Plusbeside a 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro sensor. The performance of the camera is very good and reliable, especially the main sensor, which takes good pictures.
We come to the main strength of the phone which is the front camera where we have a main sensor of 44 MP next to an ultra-wide lens of 8 MP.
There is support for 4K video shooting, which is the same as what we find in the rear camera, and in general, the front camera is undisputedly the best in this price category.
So, you can take photos and videos from both cameras without any problem. We also have custom filters from Vivo in order to modify the captured images according to the user's desire.
In addition, good hardware will help to take full advantage of AI features in processing photos and videos. Unfortunately, video stabilization is only supported on the rear camera.
The phone runs on the pre-installed Android 11 operating system based on the OriginOS 1.0 user interface, which actually provides a lot of customization features for the user but there are unfortunately many annoying bloatware apps.
However, on the bright side, there will be a few in terms of advertisements. You can uninstall more than half of the bloatware apps installed on the phone, while unfortunately you will have to live with the rest.
The phone comes with a 4,040 mAh lithium-polymer battery that can last for about a day and a half, if your use is normal and not heavy.
There is support for 44-watt fast charging, which can fully charge the battery from 45-50 minutes, which is a significant upgrade compared to the previous generation, which came with support for fast charging with a capacity of 33 watts only.
