Xiaomi officially announces Poco F4 GT: the best gaming phone right now?

No one can ignore the fact that Poco F3 GT was one of the best gaming phones in the past year, as it comes with distinct specifications, most notably the powerful Dimensity 1200 chipset, physical buttons on both sides of the phone, and a giant battery with a very fast charging capacity.

Now Poco, the sub-brand of Xiaomi, is reappearing in the market, as it has announced a new phone, which is Xiaomi Poco F4 GT.

The Chinese sub-brand has almost the same policy, as the Poco F3 GT was just a renamed version of the Redmi K40 Gaming. Poco F4 GT is also just another version without any differences from Redmi K50 Gaming.

Xiaomi Poco F4 GT Specs

This means that we have a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that supports 120Hz refresh rate as well. We have the best processor in the Android world at the moment which is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 which is supposed to ensure excellent performance of the phone and bring significant improvements over the chipset of last year's phone.

The phone works on a 4700 mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging. This is definitely a decrease compared to last year's battery, which had a capacity of 5065 mAh, but in return we get a significant upgrade in last year's fast charging capacity, which amounted to only 67W.

The Xiaomi Poco F4 GT offers a fairly modest rear camera module and not much is expected of it, we have a 64MP IMX686 primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. We have a front camera of 20 megapixels IMX596 and in general this phone is a gaming device and therefore can not be relied on much in providing a distinguished photographic experience.

The rest of the phone specifications are Bluetooth 5.2, Gorilla Glass Victus protection layer on the screen, MIUI 13 user interface based on Android 12, NFC, quad stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 6E support, and a fingerprint sensor installed on the power button.

Xiaomi Poco new phone price

Xiaomi Poco F4 GT is available at a starting price of $ 639 for the 8 / 128 GB version, while the price of the higher version 12 / 256 GB is $ 746. But the company says it's offering an early price of $533 and $639, respectively, from April 26-29.
