On January 14, Samsung plans to reveal its next flagship series, the Galaxy S21, at the Unpacked 2021 event, with the pre-orders phase open the day after the detection event, with the phones to be released in retail stores after two weeks, specifically on January 29.
As confirmed by Samsung itself, the trio will be powered by Qualcomm's latest processor, the Snapdragon 888 5G.
We have already seen some, but not all, of the colors that these models will be available in, thanks to the identical colors that will come in the next generation of wireless earbuds, the upcoming Galaxy Buds Pro, which has been leaked previously and is expected to be launched as well alongside those phones.
Samsung Galaxy S21 series specs
Speaking of upcoming phones, the standard S21 will come with a 6.2-inch display with purple, gray, white and pink color options.
S21 Plus will also come with a 6.7-inch display in the same purple color, along with silver and black.
These last two colors are the only options available for the flagship S21 Ultra that will support a giant 6.8-inch display.
In terms of internal storage capacity, all three models will feature a basic standard of 256 GB, while a version of the Ultra phone will be offered with a storage capacity of 512 GB, but in some markets.
With regard to the battery capacity of the expected phones, it is expected to be 4000, 4800 and 5000 mAh for the three devices respectively.
As with the previous series, the S21 and S21 Plus will both come with a 64MP triple rear camera, while the breakthrough in the Ultra version will be the presence of an additional 108MP sensor.
The three phones will definitely support fifth generation networks, and the S21 Ultra will come with support for Samsung's S-Pen, which was previously limited to the Note series only.
It is worth noting that the phone will not actually be sold with the S-Pen, but rather as an optional accessory.
Stay tuned for more detailed specifications, along with official photos, as the launch date approaches as the countdown begins.
