Reports confirm the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra with a powerful rear camera and an improved sensor

There have been many reports during the past period about Samsung's intention to launch its next flagship phone, which is Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra with a main rear camera of 200MP. According to reliable sources from South Korea, this has already been confirmed and there is no possibility of any doubt.

Unfortunately, the upcoming Ultra phone will not be the first device that will come with a sensor of that accuracy, as it will be preceded by many phones that will come with it, such as Motorola Edge 30 Ultra that will reach global markets on September 8. Xiaomi Mi 12T Pro will also come with the same Samsung ISOCELL HP1 sensor.

Speculation is rife that the S23 Ultra will not have an HP1 sensor. Alternatively, it could come equipped with an unannounced ISOCELL HP2 sensor. Reports have claimed that that sensor will be accompanied by a 12MP ultra-wide lens, a 10MP photographic tele sensor with 3x optical zoom, and a 10MP periscope lens with 10x optical zoom.

It is further rumored that the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is likely to be officially unveiled in November of this year. It seems that the South Korean company will not release the Exynos version as these chipsets face many criticisms.

The upcoming Samsung phone is said to have a 5,000mAh battery, which will likely support 45W fast charging. For selfies, the phone will likely retain the 40MP front camera that supports autofocus, which we all saw in Galaxy S22 Ultra.

We may see an improved fingerprint sensor from Qualcomm with more space

According to Alvin, the Galaxy S23 Ultra could come powered by Qualcomm's 3D Sonic Max fingerprint scanning technology. This is the same sensor used in phones like Vivo X80 Pro and iQOO 9 Pro. These devices are said to have a huge scanning area and can scan a user's finger very quickly.

Of course, any change in the fingerprint sensor is certainly welcome. However, we are not sure if Samsung will implement this technology in all phones of the S23 series or only in the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Anyway, all we can do is wait for an official confirmation.

As mentioned, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is expected to be launched in January 2023 along with two other phones: Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23.
