New reliable leak reveals Galaxy S22 Ultra camera

While it's still not clear exactly what the Galaxy S22 Ultra will look like from the back, especially with several Concept designs circulating each with a different design, the camera specifications of the upcoming big phone from Samsung are already known.

The source of the leaks that we will talk about today is Ice Universe, which has a new record, especially with the leaks of Samsung phones, where it is claimed that the accuracy of that information is 100%.

It is impressive that this new information does not correspond at all with many of the rumors that have emerged during the recent period, which Universe described as simply false, and we have talked about it previously, and you can read more about that topic here, of course, the days are enough to determine whether this information is correct or not, but the professional integrity requires that we inform all our visitors of all the details of the phone, which will be officially revealed at the beginning of next year.

Upgraded main camera and two new sensors

After we witnessed the launch of two phones which are Galaxy S20 Ultra andNote 20 Ultra last year, with the 108-megapixel Isocell HM1 sensor, skipping HM2 and choosing instead the 108-megapixel HM3 sensor in this year's S21 Ultra, it seems that Samsung decided to rely on the same HM3 sensor in the phone that will arrive in early 2022.

This may seem like a strange and not very successful move on the part of a giant in the smartphone industry, but of course, this does not mean that the S22 Ultra and S21 Ultra will be identical in terms of photographic capabilities and images captured with that sensor.

Galaxy S22 Ultra is expected to come with an improved version of the Isocell HM3 with a 1/1.33 inch size, 0.8nm pixel size and f/1.8 aperture. Personally, I completely agree that the company should go the development path with the same sensor and especially that the first two generations were not ideal, although it is clear that we will have to wait and see what this “improvement” brings us on the ground.

With more room for obvious upgrade in terms of the other rear cameras, we're certainly not surprised that the S22 Ultra is likely to come with two new 10-megapixel Sony sensors that are the same 1/3.52-inch.

One of those sensors will be a telephoto lens that supports x10 optical zoom and f/4.9 aperture, while the second sensor will be a telephoto lens that supports x3 zoom and f/2.4 aperture.

This camera module will be complemented by a 12MP Sony Ultra Wide Lens as well with 1/2.55" size and f/2.2 aperture so we will have an impressive quad rear camera that will put the Galaxy S22 Ultra on the race for the best camera phone in 2022.
