Oppo Reno4 Pro 5G camera scores mixed results in the DxOMark test

Oppo Reno4 Pro 5G just passed the DxOMark camera test. The device scored the highest of all Reno smartphones tested by DxOMark so far, with an overall score of 104.

Regarding the phone's camera specifications, Oppo Reno4 Pro 5G comes with a 48 MP primary camera, the second camera is a 13 MP telephoto sensor that supports true optical zoom up to x2, and there is a 12 MP ultra-wide lens.

According to the tests conducted on the device's camera, the best phone in the upper middle class in China has achieved amazing results with 109 points for photography, 60 points for zoom, and 101 points for video shooting.

In terms of imaging testing first, DxOMark tests found that the device provides a fairly wide dynamic range in indoor shots, while also providing good detail. The camera's autofocus was also accurate for the most part of the test images, and details were also consistent and clear in bright conditions.

Tests also indicated a good balance of isolation and detail in the portrait in portrait mode. Although the company has also noticed a decrease in the rate of exposure in low light.

As for the video shooting, DxOMark praised the phone's accurate white balance while recording the video. The video also maintains high detail on faces, with effective stabilization when standing still.

However, DxOMark found loud noises in the videos in general, which also suffered from limited dynamic range. There was also a noticeable shift in sharpness between video frames. In general, the device had a not consistent shooting performance, with its strengths leaning more towards videography.
