Oppo unveils Find N foldable phone at $1,200

Samsung captured the world of foldable phones with the Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold and faced little competition from other competing brands such as Motorola, Huawei and Xiaomi, but it seems that all of that will change after the launch of the Oppo Find N.

It seems that during the coming period we will witness a fierce competition in this category, as OPPO has revealed a new phone today, which is Oppo Find N which would change the rules of the game a lot.

Oppo's new flagship phone is a direct competitor to Galaxy Z Fold 3, as it has a smartphone-sized screen on the outside and a foldable tablet-sized screen on the inside. The only difference is that the Oppo phone is remarkably small and compact.

Oppo Find N Specifications and Price

The Oppo Find N comes with a 7.1-inch AMOLED main display with a resolution of 1792 x 1920 pixels that features an ultra-thin glass layer, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. Unlike the Galaxy Z Fold 3, the phone's 5.49-inch outer cover screen only supports a standard refresh rate of 60Hz.

The phone uses a "Waterdrop" hinge which Oppo claims is the "best-designed" hinge of any foldable phone to date. Not only is the hinge claimed to be very durable, but it also helps reduce screen creases to a great extent. In fact, Oppo says the Find N screen doesn't have any noticeable wrinkle.

Similar to the Flex Mode feature in the best Samsung foldable phones, Oppo has developed a similar technology called FlexForm that allows the phone screen to be opened at different angles.

The phone works on a powerful processor that will ensure a perfect using experience, which is the Snapdragon 888 along with 8 or 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256 or 512 GB UFS 3.1 internal storage.

The phone comes with a triple rear camera consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor accompanied by a 13MP telephoto sensor that supports x2 optical zoom and a 16MP ultra-wide lens. There is also a 32MP front camera located inside the center hole of the outer cover screen.

The phone works on a 4500 mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging and 15W wireless charging. As for the software, we have the Android 11 operating system based on the ColorOS 12 user interface.

The price of the Oppo Find N is 1210 dollars for the 8 + 256 GB version, and it rises to 1414 dollars for the higher version 12 + 512 GB, the color options are white, black and purple, and the phone will be sold in China only starting from December 23.

There are no official details regarding the possibility of launching the phone in global markets or not, but we advise Oppo to take this step since Samsung has already done so and is the only brand to do so, which means that there is almost no competition.
