While we're less than a week away from the launch of iPhone 13 and it makes sense that the leaks at that time will talk about all those awaited phones. Jon Prosser came out with a shocking video revealing new iPhone 14 leaks in a big surprise to the tech community.
Is Jon a reliable source for his leaks? in fact yes. Everyone who works in the world of smartphones knows that this man is the Apple Fan Boy and has a good record of leaks regarding the American company's products such as: AirPods Max, AirTags, Apple Watch Series 7 and certainly the iPhone 13 series.
iPhone 14 Specs
New leaks related to iPhone 2022 phones, mostly related to the new design and colors, at first we will talk about the design and start with the back panel of the phone, the camera bump almost disappeared! This is a bit surprising given that we've been used to seeing the big prominence of the rear camera over the past years.
So the iPhone 14 will not come with a prominent camera bump, but instead, it will come with a noticeably larger thickness and in return this guarantees a larger battery of course.
Unfortunately, information about the details of the rear camera sensors is still not clear yet, although some reports have talked about the possibility of a periscope sensor in the 2022 phones, but we cannot confirm this currently.
We have a glossy and polished glass back with perfection and the Apple logo in the middle as we can see in the pictures below, as for the colors we have rose gold, silver and turquoise but the only color we're sure we'll see is gold.
Nostalgia seemed to dominate the company's direction at the time, as leaks also indicated that the iPhone 14 would come with two volume down buttons that are round and not like the current shape, just like the iPhone 4.
The edges surrounding the display will come from titanium instead of the aluminum that Apple uses in current phones. The Lightening port will not change and will remain the same despite the wishes of a large segment of users to switch to USB-C.
The most prominent upgrade so far that will surely appeal to all Apple fans is the notch! The annoying screen cutout that has always detracted from the viewing experience so much and has been an annoyance for many users seems to be going away!
That big notch will turn into a small punch-hole housing the front camera, while the Face ID sensor will be relocated and will be under the display, there is news that the Pro models will get this upgrade while the standard version will keep the same notch found in the iPhone 13.
This is definitely a preliminary design, dimensions may change, some colors may be excluded and alternatives may be chosen, but the overall design will certainly remain the same until those phones enter mass production during the next year.
