iPhone 13 processor will perform 13.7% better than its predecessor

It is expected on September 14th we will see the reveal of Apple iPhone 13. This new lineup will consist of four phones just like the previous series, including a Mini version and a standard version along with the Pro and Pro Max models.

The four iPhones will be launched to succeed the series of iPhone 12 which was revealed in October last year. Apple is expected to make some significant internal upgrades in the upcoming phones.

iPhone 13 Pro Max and its younger brother will definitely get the biggest upgrades, as they are expected to support a 120Hz refresh rate for the first time ever, along with 5G networks, and we also don't ignore an important increase in battery capacity as well.

According to some leaks, a test was conducted on the processor that will be used in the upcoming series, which is the Apple A15. The results show that the upcoming chipset will be 13.7% faster than the current A14 processor.

A15 scored 198 points during the first round of testing. During the second round, the performance decreased and the number of points reached between 140-150 points. In contrast, the A14 Bionic scored 170.7 points in the test.

The surprise is that the flagship Samsung Exynos 2200 processor achieved the same test results as the Apple A14 and later in the second and third round scored lower numbers than the A15, which means that Apple will continue to maintain the lead and outperform Android processors.

It is worth noting that the rest of the upgrades are better support for fast charging, with support for Always-On Display in order to display the battery icon, date and clock.

Several reports have also said that the two Pro models will get some camera upgrades. We will continue with three rear sensors and a LiDAR sensor.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the ultra-wide camera on Pro models will feature autofocus support. It is also said that Apple will introduce a 6-piece lens instead of the existing 5-piece lens, and you can read more about that here.

Reliable sources also reported that the 2021 iPhone models will come with some new video shooting features, including ProRes video recording, some new filters, etc.
