Huawei has confirmed that there will be no delay regarding the launch of the Mate 40 series, as we expect it to be officially announced in September or October. So far, we've only heard rumors and got slight leaks regarding these upcoming flagship phones, but today somewhat more details have been revealed - Mate 40 Pro will have a 6.6-inch curved display with ultra-slim bezels and there are absolutely no holes for the front camera as expected.
The Mate 40 Pro will obviously drop the notch design, just like the Mate 40, as previous rumors have indicated.
As Huawei Mate 40 may come with a curved screen, and this is shown in the glass screen protector in the image below. The accessory was disclosed by a user on the Weibo platform.
Last year, the Huawei 30 Mate series was launched with a curved screen in the Mate 30 Pro and flat screen on the Mate 30.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro will have a big deal
Huawei is expected to unveil its new Mate 40 series sometime this fall, possibly in October. We know very little about the Mate 40 range of phones, but we expect it to be powered by the Kirin 1020 processor, and maybe it will come with a 108-megapixel main camera, and Google Play services probably aren't as expected.
Huawei Mate devices have always been at the highest level and officials have confirmed many times that unlike P phones that are mostly directed towards photography, the Mate series represents the latest technology available in one device, especially the Huawei Mate 40 Pro which is expected to compete strongly Most prominent upcoming flagships like iPhone 12.
This means that we may see the first commercially available smartphone with an under-camera - a technology still only available on prototypes in some manufacturers' labs. Or maybe a simple raised selfie camera, if the technology isn't ready yet.
There is still little time left until launch of the expected Mate series and from here to that time, we will keep you updated with exclusive details and information.
